36+2 WEEKS
Written on 7th November but backdated. :)
I didn't actually get to sleep until 12.15am, as I couldn't relax at all.... it was horrible, all night there was someone being sick, the buzzers were going off, and I didn't have my co-codamol to take the edge off my Pelvic Pain.
I woke up at 1.18am thinking I'd slept for years! But no, I still had another 5 hours until it would be reasonable to get up. So, turned over and tried to sleep some more.
At around 3am, I was awake again, and so was my Bay Buddy, so we decided to go for a walk. We asked the midwives, and was told it would be fine as long as we weren't alone, which we quite obviously were not. I have no idea how long we were walking for, but it was a while, and by the time we got back, I was exhausted, so tried to have some more sleep.
At 6.28am, I remember waking up and looking at my phone... and my Bay Buddy's waters had broken. I saw no point in returning to sleep, so just lay on the bed with my eyes shut and wished the time past till breakfast and then the time until my scan. :)
The scan was wonderful, Dot is getting really big, and is no longer a little Dot, as he/she weighed 8lb 6oz already..... with potentially 4-6 weeks to go.... which means 0.5lb-1lb a week, and a potential birth weight of 10lb 6oz... :o
I am well aware that these scans are not completely accurate, and can be a fair bit out, but I'm not expecting a small baby that's for certain.
The other issue highlighted was a lack of water, my bump IS all baby.... :o GET OUT NOW DOT.
Everything else was normal so I was allowed home, and told to have an antenatal appt, and attend consultant appt.
